What did we do?

*************************************     60th Reunion Weekend Activities 

FRIDAY - 6:00 PM 

We met for a casual evening gathering at J. P. Mulligan's (formerly The Chalet) in Fayetteville.  It remains a great place to gather and reminesce in a relaxed atmosphere. They also happen to have music and a nice food menu:  https://places.singleplatform.com/j-p-mulligans-restaurant/menu 

SATURDAY 

9:00 AM - BREAKFAST OPTIONS

Dave's Diner, Bruegger's Bagels or Daily Diner (New in Manlius (Rt. 173)  

11:00 AM Tour of FM High School.  The tour was really interesting.  Our tour guide was Biz Wheeler - Platt Wheeler's granddaughter!  It was amazing to see all the learning and experiential options students are offered now - and the creative spaces they work in.  Take a look at the FMHS website: https://www.fmschools.org/fayetteville-manlius-high-school/  

12:30 PM  Mill Run Park -- 125 Mill Street, Manlius, NY                        We reserved the Tom Whorrall Pavilion at Mill Run Park for the day.  The park was open from 6 AM - 10 PM.  We brought a lunch and gathered at the pavilion. 

Our activities included walking/hiking some of the park trails, cornhole games, and easy walking with flat ground access.  The pavilion is located right along Limestone Creek near a wooden bridge.  There is a covered picnic table area with a fireplace, and outdoor grills.  It is close to the restrooms. We created our own tournaments for corn hole, horseshoes, washers! 

6:00 PM   Reunion Dinner

We met at the Craftsman Inn in Fayettevill at 6:00.  We had out own party room complete with a cash bar and buffet dinner.  We had Dave Vermilya's music recordings playing on a boom box.  We set up a slideshow of random photos from our high school years.  After dinner, some people shared a retrospective of what they had been doing for the past 60 years. We remain an interesting group for sure, with many different paths and life experiences... and of course, plenty of fun. Overall, the food was great and we had a really nice time catching up and re-aquainting ourselves with each other.  (Note: Believe it or not, we don't all look exactly like we did in 1966!). 

SUNDAY 

9:00 AM Sunday:  Breakfast/brunch at Revercomb's in Cazenovia...  including breakfast pizza!  Just a little more time hanging out together before we went our separate ways around the planet until the next reunion.
